Transitioning to Net-Zero: Energy Technology Roadmaps

On 27 April 2024, OMEC and WEC-Italia, in collaboration with the Atlantic Council, the Energy Center of the Politecnico di Torino and Globe Italia, organized an official side event entitled “Transitioning to Net-Zero: Energy Technology Roadmaps”. The event was kindly hosted by Italgas in Turin, Italy, as part of the G7 Ministers of Climate, Energy, and the Environment meeting held on 29 and 30 April. General Director of OMEC, Houda Ben Jannet and Senior Director Landon Derentz, Morningstar Chair for Global Energy Security, Atlantic Council Global Energy Center, took part in a panel moderated by Marco Margheri, Chairman of WEC Italy, on the importance of technological development and innovation to support energy transition.

The day after, on 28 April, OMEC participated in the “Summit on the Future of Energy”, a side-event organized by the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center, the Energy Center of the Politecnico di Torino and the WEC Italy. General Director of OMEC, Houda Ben Jannet, took part in the panel discussion on the “Future of Power: Innovation in a Changing World”, pointing out that innovation lies at the heart of the energy transition, offering the promise of unlocking new technologies, business models, and policy frameworks that can drive progress toward a low-carbon future.
