Launch of OME publication Mediterranean Energy Perspectives Turkey, MEP-Turkey
OME launched its flagship publication Mediterranean Energy Perspectives Turkey, MEP-Turkey, at the residence of the Ambassador of Turkey to the OECD in Paris on 16 December 2014.
This in-depth study provides insight into energy profile of Turkey from the early 1960s to the present and an outlook to 2030. MEP-Turkey presents detailed analysis and data on the supply and demand balance for the major components of the energy sector. It is based on a specific implementation of the Mediterranean Energy Model developed by OME. The Study addresses all energy sources, including alternative and renewable energy sources, evolution of electricity generation and installed capacity; but also energy efficiency and demand side management, institutional and regulatory framework,, future energy import bill and energy investment needs which are critical issues for the Turkish energy policy.
