NEAR Days 2024: A New momentum for Enlargement and our Neighbourhood
On 20 March 2024, the OMEC was invited to participate in the NEAR Days 2024, “A New momentum for Enlargement and our Neighbourhood”, organized in Brussels by the DG NEAR of the European Commission. The event gathered around 1.500 staff members from EU-headquarters and its 23 EU-Delegations. The aim was to provide an opportunity to share invaluable insights into pertinent questions whether the external dimension of the EU’s Green Deal is adequately addressed, and how to make the Green Deal beneficial for both, the EU and our partner countries
OMEC General Director took part in the session on EU Green Deal and the Energy Transition, advancing faster in our neighborhood and enlargement regions. The session was moderated by Ambassador Christian Berger, Head of EU Cairo. The panelists were DG ENER Ditte Juul-Jorgensen and DG Climat Kurt Vandenberghe and OMEC.
