Amid growing energy security concerns, the Mediterranean Energy Perspectives 2025 (MEP 2025) offers a comprehensive outlook on the region’s energy landscape through 2050 and is set to be released in spring 2025.
Prepared by the Organisation Méditerranéenne de l’Energie et du Climat (OMEC), an association of industry members from 16 countries around the Mediterranean basin, this edition explores updated Net-Zero and Reference Scenarios, outlining pathways for governments, companies, and citizens to achieve decarbonization and limit global warming to 1.5°C.
Against the backdrop of geopolitical shifts and supply uncertainties, MEP 2025 provides critical insights on balancing energy independence with climate goals, accelerating renewables, and navigating the region’s evolving energy future.
